‘Pucker Up’ Lemon Bridal Shower by Love The Day

While in Utah I had an opportunity to help throw a bridal shower for my cousin’s fiance Jess. My aunt Jana and I wanted something bright and colorful to reflect the couples wonderful relationship and decided on a lemon & lime, ‘Pucker Up’ theme! We went crazy finding rustic/country decorations, purchasing & ripping yellow fabric and cutting lemons and limes. I designed a PRINTABLE Party around the theme that included invitions, party circles, pendant banners, favor tags, 5X7 signs and thank you cards.

While the decorations were bright and fun, the food really stole the show. My dear friend Janell of One Sweet Slice created the gorgeous lemon cake with an amazing lemon curd filling and tasty icing! I can’t say this enough, she makes THE BEST cakes/cupcakes I have EVER tasted. I was totally obsessed with this cake (looking and eating it) with it’s ombre blend and the fantastic gum paste flower.

Other tasties included Magnolia Bakeries Banana Pudding, Lemon Cupcakes and Lime Tarts made by my talented Pastry Chef sister Kristi of City Sweet Shop.
