Cherry Week:: Retro Cherry Birthday Party

I am so excited to share my latest project and printable collection shot by the talented Jon & Melissa Photography.  I’ve always thought that a retro 50′s diner would be the perfect place to host a little one’s birthday party. The diner provides a fun atmosphere, perfect kiddie food for a reasonable price, milkshakes, free balloons and a jute box! These photos showcase my new retro cherry printable collection and some ideas on how to create the perfect 50′s diner party.

The diner itself provides the perfect backdrop for a 50′s party, but add some homemade bunting, striped straws, a polka dot tablecloth, some Kandy Kones, cherry printables and you are set!

As mentioned, the diner has a great kids menu like grilled cheese or mini hamburgers and it usually comes with a milkshake! I added vanilla cupcakes with cherry marzipan toppers, cherry heart bars, mini doughnuts with cherry glaze, cotton candy, chocolate dipped cherries (all made by City Sweet Shop), a 7-up cake (by Rene Takes The Cake) and sugar cookies topped with fondant toppers (by Two Sugar Babies).

So many great vendors contributed to this shoot and I’ll be featuring each shop everyday this week! And a huge thank you to my gorgeous model and friend Meg.

You’re really put the cherry on top Lindi! Well done and totally fun! I’ll be asking for some pirates and spiderman labels soon. Try telling a 3 year old that Spiderman isn’t a really clever party theme to design…..
