I’ve saved my favorite aspect of the Strawberry Picnic for last, the treats and party favors! My talented sister, Kristi of City Sweet Shop did it again with this five tiered strawberry short-cake. Believe me it was as good as it looks! She also wowed guests with her homemade churros, strawberry tarts and my favorite, her vanilla cupcakes with butter cream icing. And knowing how much I love sugar cookies, Kristi made marshmallow fondant toppers to match my strawberry designs to go on her famous, oh so soft cookies. Best sister ever!
As for the party favors, adults were given little baskets of fresh strawberries and the kiddos left with a strawberry container full of red and green gumballs.
